United Kingdom Gold Proof 2001 Half-Sovereign Boxed Set. This Mint 2001 box-set features a single gold Proof Half-Sovereign coin. This coin weighs the same as a regular half-sovereign, at 3.99grams and 22-karat gold (91.67% fineness). This proof have been struck using specially selected blanks and highly polished dies. During striking, the coinage dies exert enormous pressure on the coin blank, with at least two separate blows (or strikes), ensuring that the impression has extra clarity.

Complete with its own booklet/Certificate of Authenticity. Bound in a good looking red felt case, enclosed in a red presentation box. Box: 123mm x 93mm x 31mm.
